Acrylic Shelves: Three Wall Listings Compared

Acrylic Shelves: Three Wall Listings Compared

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

The person typing acrylic shelves wants small clear wall shelves for perfume, toiletries, figures or other display items, usually in a bathroom, bedroom or kitchen. This guide compares three acrylic and clear plastic shelf listings we opened on Amazon on 2026-10-27. Two are the same upsimples line in 4-pack and 16-pack sizes, and one is a 14-inch Lifewit set of four in plastic. Acrylic shelves are light, and the listings give small load figures. The main question is whether the stated load is per shelf or per set, and the listings do not all answer it.

Quick answer

  • For a small, clear display shelf, the upsimples 4-pack lists 15-inch acrylic shelves that hold up to 8.8 lb when installed firmly, and includes screws and wall anchors.
  • For a larger set, the upsimples 16-pack has the same shelf and load figures as the 4-pack, in a set of 16.
  • For the only per-shelf load stated, the Lifewit 14-inch set lists 13 lb per shelf, but it is plastic rather than acrylic, and its hardware count does not match its shelf count.
  • Wall anchors matter more than the shelf. Each listing includes anchors or expansion screws, and the CPSC report explains why drywall anchors are the weak point.

Comparison table

The columns below use only figures that each listing states. “Not stated” means the listing does not give that figure in the fields we read.

Listing (ASIN) Shelves in pack Stated length Stated load Material Hardware included
upsimples 4-pack, clear (B09YV7B6YW) 4 15 in 8.8 lb (maximum and minimum in the spec table) Acrylic Screws, wall anchors, plastic spacers
upsimples 16-pack, clear (B0CLVJ7F9H) 16 15 in 8.8 lb (maximum and minimum in the spec table) Acrylic Screws, wall anchors, plastic spacers
Lifewit 4-pack, clear (B0CJQWNQ6P) 4 14 in (3.6 in inner depth) 13 lb per shelf Premium PS plastic (the title says acrylic) 13 screws, 13 wall anchors, bubble level

How we chose

We searched Amazon for “acrylic shelves” on 2026-10-27 and skipped the sponsored results. Of the non-sponsored results we captured, we opened the upsimples 4-pack, the upsimples 16-pack and the Lifewit 4-pack. A 6-pack upsimples listing also appeared and was not opened, because the 4-pack and 16-pack already show the same line. We picked these three because they cover two pack sizes of one product and one different brand, which is enough to show how the listings differ. We did not rank them by price, ratings or reviews, and we did not record those figures.

The group is small and two of the three listings are the same product. The comparison does not show the best acrylic shelf available.

The three shelf listings, product by product

1. upsimples 4-pack acrylic wall shelves, clear (B09YV7B6YW)

View on Amazon

  • the listing says: four clear 15-inch wall shelves, glossy finish, wall mount.
  • the listing says: the acrylic holds up to 8.8 lb when installed firmly on the wall.
  • the listing says: pre-drilled holes and all mounting hardware are included: screws, wall anchors and plastic spacers.
  • the listing says: the shelves suit bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living room, and can display perfume, skincare, makeup or toy cars.

Skip if you need to store anything heavier than a few small items on each shelf. Limitation: the spec table gives 8.8 lb as both maximum and minimum. The listing does not say whether the 8.8 lb applies to each shelf or to the set, and it does not say which wall types the included anchors suit.

2. upsimples 16-pack acrylic wall shelves, clear (B0CLVJ7F9H)

View on Amazon

  • the listing says: sixteen clear 15-inch shelves, glossy finish, wall mount.
  • the listing says: the same 8.8 lb figure as the 4-pack, when installed firmly on the wall.
  • the listing says: the same hardware as the 4-pack: screws, wall anchors and plastic spacers.
  • the listing says: the same rooms and uses as the 4-pack.

Skip if you only need a few shelves, because the 16-pack is a large set for a small space. Limitation: the listing is the same product line as the 4-pack, so the load figure and anchor description are the same. We did not check the anchors separately for this pack size.

3. Lifewit acrylic floating shelves for bathroom, 14 inches, clear, 4-pack (B0CJQWNQ6P)

View on Amazon

  • the listing says: four 14-inch clear shelves with a 3.6-inch deep inner space, glossy finish, wall mount.
  • the listing says: the shelves support up to 13 lb each, on expansion screws.
  • the listing says: they can be mounted upward or downward, with pre-drilled holes and hardware including a bubble level.
  • the listing says: the package includes 13 screws and 13 wall anchors, which do not match the 4 shelves.

Skip if you specifically need an acrylic shelf. The listing describes premium PS plastic, and the title says acrylic. Limitation: the hardware count does not match the shelf count, and the listing does not explain the extra screws and anchors.

Fixing an acrylic shelf to drywall: what the sources say

Acrylic shelves are small, and their stated loads are low. But the fixing is the same kind of question as for larger shelves: what the screw goes into. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s report on anchoring furniture covers how furniture is fixed to walls. It does not test acrylic or plastic shelves, and it gives no load for any of the three listings.

The report says that “Rather, a wood screw is usually provided and must be installed in a stud.” It also says “Drywall anchors are strongest when pulled at an angle parallel to the wall (a shearing force).” A shelf loaded with items pulls the anchor outward, and the report describes that straight pull as the hardest case for a drywall anchor. For a small shelf in a bathroom or a kitchen, the practical step is to check the wall type first, drill into a stud where one is in the right place, and use the included anchors only where the wall type matches what the listing says they suit. None of the three listings states the wall type its anchors suit.

What we could not verify

  • None of the three listings says whether 8.8 lb or 13 lb applies per shelf or per set (except the Lifewit, which says per shelf).
  • The wall types the included anchors suit are not stated in any listing.
  • The Lifewit’s material is plastic in the listing, while the title says acrylic. We report the listing’s material.
  • The waterproof claim in the upsimples and Lifewit listings is the seller’s and was not checked.
  • We did not open any manufacturer’s instructions.

Buying checklist

  • Decide what you will display. The upsimples shelves are 15 inches; the Lifewit shelves are 14 inches with a 3.6-inch inner depth.
  • Count the shelves you need. The upsimples come in 4 and 16 pieces; the Lifewit in 4.
  • Check the load basis. Only the Lifewit gives a per-shelf figure in the listing.
  • Check the wall type before you drill. Use anchors that suit it, and drill into a stud where one is in the right place.
  • Count the hardware when the package arrives. The Lifewit listing gives 13 screws and 13 anchors for 4 shelves.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Treating the 8.8 lb as per shelf without checking. The listing does not say which it is.
  • Buying the 16-pack by accident. It is the same shelf as the 4-pack, in four times the number.
  • Assuming an acrylic label means acrylic. The Lifewit listing describes premium PS plastic.
  • Using the included anchors without checking the wall. None of the listings says which wall types its anchors suit.
  • Loading the shelf with heavy items. The stated loads are small. Keep glass and heavy bottles off these shelves.

Where to go next

For a bathroom wall, small bathroom wall shelves compares options that suit a tight wall, and bathroom floating shelves with a towel bar covers shelves that add towel storage. For a small bathroom, floating shelves in a small bathroom shows more layouts. For a shower wall, tile shower shelving covers a different fixing problem. For a corner by the sink, corner shelves for a bathroom counter covers a counter-level option. In a living room or bedroom, small wall shelves for a living room and small bedroom shelves cover display shelves for those rooms. For how to read a stated shelf load, see floating shelves that can hold weight. For a larger decorative shelf, see decorative floating wall shelves for a living room.

FAQ

How much weight can an acrylic shelf hold?

The upsimples listings say up to 8.8 lb when installed firmly on the wall. The Lifewit listing says up to 13 lb per shelf. The listings do not say whether the upsimples figure is per shelf or per set. Keep items light, and check the basis before you load the shelf.

Are the included wall anchors enough?

Each listing includes anchors or expansion screws. None of the listings says which wall types they suit. The CPSC report says drywall anchors are weakest when pulled straight out, and it says a wood screw is usually provided and must be installed in a stud. For a small shelf, check the wall first and use a stud where you can.

Are acrylic shelves waterproof?

The upsimples and Lifewit listings both say waterproof. These are the sellers’ claims, and we did not check them. Use the shelves in a bathroom only after reading the product page, and avoid placing items that could leak or stain.

What is the difference between the 4-pack and the 16-pack?

The upsimples 4-pack and 16-pack are the same product: 15-inch clear shelves with the same 8.8 lb figure and the same hardware description. The 16-pack has 16 shelves.

Why does the Lifewit listing mention 13 screws for 4 shelves?

The listing says the package includes 13 screws and 13 wall anchors, along with 4 shelves and a bubble level. The count does not match the number of shelves, and the listing does not explain the extra hardware. Count what arrives before you start mounting.

Which shelf is best for perfume or skincare?

The Lifewit listing gives a per-shelf figure and is aimed at perfume, makeup and toiletries. The upsimples listings also suggest perfume and skincare in a bathroom. The listings do not say which will hold a particular item, so measure the shelf depth against the bottles you plan to store.

Bottom line

Choose an acrylic or clear wall shelf by the item size and the load basis. The upsimples 4-pack and 16-pack are the same clear shelf in two set sizes, with a stated 8.8 lb figure whose basis is not clear. The Lifewit 14-inch set is plastic rather than acrylic, but it is the only one that gives a per-shelf figure, at 13 lb. Before you hang any of them, check the wall type and use a stud where you can.
