We searched Amazon for “white bookcase” on 2026-10-27, read the non-sponsored product cards on the results page, and opened five product pages. We did not rank the products by quality or ratings, and we did not record price. What we could not verify

Anchoring tall white bookcases: what the CPSC report says
The two VASAGLE units are 52 and 63 inches tall. Tall open bookcases are where tip-over matters most. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s 2015 report Preliminary Evaluation of Anchoring Furniture and Televisions Without Tools (CPSC/EXHR/TR-15/001) says that “Thirty percent (109 deaths) of the 363 reported fatalities were associated with only furniture falling.” It covers furniture in general, and we opened the PDF on 2026-10-27.
The report also explains why the anchor matters. It says “Drywall anchors are strongest when pulled at an angle parallel to the wall (a shearing force).” A tipping bookcase pulls the anchor out from the wall, which is harder on a drywall anchor. The report adds that staff “was unable to find any furniture anchors available for purchase that did not require tools for installation,” which is a 2015 finding.
