Best Under Bed Storage with Wheels: Six Bins Compared by Clearance, Wheels and Access
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Details
The best under bed storage with wheels is the bin that fits the gap under your bed, rolls and locks where you need it, and holds the bedding or clothes you actually store. This guide compares six listings from six brands. Every figure comes from the title, bullets and specification table on each Amazon page, and every calculation is ours and labelled as a planning estimate. Three listings give a bin height. The clearance under your own bed is the number you still have to measure.
Quick answer
- Measure the clearance first. Kitstorack has the lowest stated height in this group at 6.69 inches with wheels, and its bullets set 6.7 inches as the minimum clearance. Budding Joy adjusts from 9.45 to 11.02 inches, and Eastherry’s bins are 9.5 inches high.
- Count the wheels and locks. VECELO and Budding Joy list six wheels, and Eastherry, Kitstorack and Webetop list four, two of which lock. Best Choice names lockable wheels without a count.
- Choose the bin by what goes in it. Fabric bins suit bedding (Eastherry and Budding Joy), clear windows or translucent walls suit quick identification (Kitstorack, Webetop and VECELO), and woven bins suit blankets and toys (Best Choice).
What the buyer is deciding
Under a bed the space is the hard limit, so the decision runs in a fixed order. Clearance comes first, because a bin that does not fit the gap is useless however well it is built. Capacity comes second, since the listings give liters for only two sets. Wheels and locks come third, because they decide whether a full bin can be moved from the far side of the bed. Access and material come last, because they affect how you use the bin after you know it fits.
Clearance is the hard limit
Three listings give a bin height. Kitstorack’s bullets give 6.69 inches with wheels and say the bin suits an under bed height above 6.7 inches. Budding Joy’s bullets give 31.5 by 15.75 by 9.45 inches with wheels, and say the height adjusts from 9.45 to 11.02 inches. Eastherry’s bullets describe 9.5 inch high bins without saying whether the wheels are included. The other three listings give no bin height in their bullets.
That split matters. A bin with a stated height can be checked against the gap. A bin with no height cannot, and the only check is to measure the bin yourself if you own one, or to ask the seller in writing before you buy.
Capacity, where it is stated
Only two listings give a capacity in liters. Webetop’s bullets say the 12 inch bin holds about 91 liters and the 10 inch bin about 75 liters, and the set is two bins of two sizes. Budding Joy’s title says 80L for a 2 pack, and the listing does not say whether 80 liters is for each bin or for the pack.
Our planning sums show how much the two readings differ. Webetop’s pair gives 91 + 75 = 166 liters. For Budding Joy, if the 80 liters is for the pack, each bin holds 80 divided by 2 = 40 liters, and if it is for each bin, the pack holds 2 x 80 = 160 liters. The gap between 40 and 80 liters per bin is the reason to ask the seller before you compare.
Eastherry, Kitstorack, Best Choice and VECELO give no liter figure at all. For those, compare the stated dimensions and the stated use, and do not assume a capacity.
Wheels and locks
Wheel count is the second physical check. VECELO’s bullets say six wheels sit on the bottom. Budding Joy lists six 360 degree casters, two of which lock. Eastherry lists four casters, two of which lock. Kitstorack lists four 360 degree rotating wheels, two with locks. Webetop lists four smooth casters, two of which lock. Best Choice names lockable wheels, with no count given.
Two locks on a four-wheel bin lock half the wheels. Two locks on a six-wheel bin lock a third. The listings do not say what the locks hold against, so treat them as a way to stop the bin’s movement, not as a guarantee of how it stays put. Lock the wheels on the side you reach from, and check that the bin still rolls on the rest.
No listing gives a wheel diameter. That matters for a bed with a carpeted floor or a floor with a threshold, and the listings do not say how the casters handle either.
Access, material and the window
Access is where the bins differ most. Eastherry has double zippers and a clear top with labels. VECELO has a two-way opening and lids, and its plastic is translucent. Budding Joy has a clear PVC window and a label. Kitstorack has a clear window and a label. Webetop has a clear lid with a label card in a side pocket. Best Choice has lids and cut-out handles, which is the only handle detail in this group.
Materials differ too. Eastherry’s bullets name a reinforced metal frame and 400D Oxford fabric. Budding Joy names non-woven fabric. VECELO names PP plastic, and Best Choice names handwoven water hyacinth in a natural finish. Kitstorack and Webetop do not name a material in their bullets.
A clear window lets you see the contents without opening the bin, which the Kitstorack, Budding Joy and Webetop listings name directly. Choose by what you store and how often you reach for it, not by the window alone.
Stacking and nesting
VECELO says its bins stack, with lid grooves that match the wheels. Best Choice says its two sizes nest together. The Webetop pair comes in two sizes too, but its bullets do not say whether they stack or nest. Eastherry and Budding Joy do not describe stacking.
If your bedroom has no closet, our bedroom storage guide covers wider options, and our rolling storage cart guide covers a wheeled piece that stays in the room rather than under the bed.
Table 1: what each listing states
| Listing | Height or size | Capacity | Wheels | Locks | Material | Access |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eastherry, 2 pack | 9.5 inches high, wheels not stated | Not stated | Four casters | Two lockable | 400D Oxford fabric, reinforced metal frame | Double zippers, clear top with labels |
| Kitstorack, 2 pack | 6.69 inches with wheels; 6.7 inch minimum clearance | Not stated | Four 360 degree wheels | Two with locks | Not stated | Clear window and label |
| Best Choice, 2 pack | Not stated; low profile | Not stated | Wheels, count not stated | Lockable | Handwoven water hyacinth | Lid, cut-out handles |
| VECELO, 2 pack | Not stated | Not stated | Six on the bottom | Not stated | PP plastic, called waterproof | Two-way opening, lids, translucent |
| Webetop, 2 pack | Not stated (12 and 10 inch bins) | About 91 L and about 75 L | Four smooth casters | Two lock | Not stated | Clear lid, label card in side pocket |
| Budding Joy, 2 pack | 31.5 by 15.75 by 9.45 inches with wheels; adjusts to 11.02 inches | 80L in title | Six 360 degree casters | Two with locks | Non-woven fabric | Clear PVC window and label |
Table 2: clearance at an example 10 inch gap
Our planning estimate uses a 10 inch gap as an example only. It is not a standard bed height, and the listings do not give one.
| Listing | Stated height or minimum | Spare space at 10 inches (planning) | Fits the example gap? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kitstorack | 6.69 inches, minimum 6.7 | 10 – 6.69 = 3.31 inches | Yes, with 3.31 inches to spare |
| Eastherry | 9.5 inches | 10 – 9.5 = 0.5 inches | Yes, with 0.5 inch to spare |
| Budding Joy, lowest setting | 9.45 inches | 10 – 9.45 = 0.55 inches | Yes, at the lowest setting only |
| Budding Joy, highest setting | 11.02 inches | Not a positive gap | No, 11.02 inches is more than 10 inches |
| Webetop, VECELO, Best Choice | Not stated | Cannot be calculated | Check the listing or measure the bin |
Two numbers in Table 2 deserve a second look. The gap between Kitstorack’s stated height and its stated minimum clearance is 6.7 – 6.69 = 0.01 inch, so its clearance requirement is tight. Budding Joy’s adjustment range is 11.02 – 9.45 = 1.57 inches, which lets one bin cover a wider range of gaps than a fixed-height bin.

Install and fit checks
- Measure the gap at the head, the middle and the foot of the bed. A gap that changes along the frame is the gap you have to fit the bin into.
- Check the lowest point under the frame, which may be a crossbar, a support or a drawer, rather than the rails. The listings give no figure for that.
- If the bin has adjustable height, set it to the lowest setting first, then raise it only if the gap allows. Budding Joy’s range runs from 9.45 to 11.02 inches.
- Note the lockable wheels before you slide the bin in. The listings name locks but do not say which wheels lock, so check the bin’s movement once it is in place.
- Plan the path for the wheels. No listing gives a wheel diameter, so check the path under the bed for a threshold or a rug edge.
Named uses and bin counts
The listings also name what each bin is for, and the names differ. Eastherry names comforters, bedding and seasonal clothing. VECELO names clothes, blankets, sheets and seasonal items. Webetop recommends its bins for seasonal clothes and bedding. Best Choice names blankets, pillows and toys. Kitstorack’s title calls its bin an under bed shoe storage organizer, and its bullets name no other contents. Budding Joy’s bullets name no contents at all.
The named use is a guide to what goes in, not a limit on it. A shoe bin and a comforter bin may carry very different loads, but no listing gives a load figure for either, so the use names do not tell you how heavy the contents can be.
Counting bins is simple arithmetic. If you want four bins under one bed, two Webetop two-packs give four bins, and their combined capacity is 2 x 166 = 332 liters (our planning estimate). Two Budding Joy two-packs also give four bins, and the total depends on how the 80L figure is read: 2 x 80 = 160 liters if it is per pack, or 4 x 80 = 320 liters if it is per bin. That gap is the reason to confirm the figure with the seller before you buy for capacity.
Three listings give no height, which leaves Webetop, VECELO and Best Choice unchecked against a gap. Your options are to measure a bin you already own, to ask the seller for the height in writing, or to choose from the three listings that give one. The listing does not offer a height to use in place of the missing one, so the written answer from the seller is the only check that covers those three.
Mistakes to avoid
- Treating a height as a fit without checking the gap. Eastherry’s 9.5 inches leaves 0.5 inch at a 10 inch gap, and the listing does not say whether the wheels add to that height.
- Assuming Kitstorack’s 6.69 inch height gives room to spare. Its bullets set 6.7 inches as the minimum, which leaves 0.01 inch.
- Reading the 80L figure as one bin’s capacity. The title says 80L for a 2 pack, so the figure may be for the pack.
- Reading Webetop’s 12 and 10 inch figures as heights. The bullets do not say whether they are heights or lengths.
- Buying for the wheels alone. Two locks on four or six wheels lock only part of the bin’s movement.
- Expecting a load limit. None of the listings gives a weight limit for the contents.
How we chose
We searched Amazon.com in Chrome on 2026-10-21 for the keyword and read the first results page. We kept listings for under bed storage bins with wheels, and we took one listing per brand, which gave six listings from six brands. We did not use sponsored placements. The figures come from the title, bullets and specification table on each page. The listing count used is six.
What we could not verify
- Whether Eastherry’s 9.5 inch height includes the wheels. The bullets do not say.
- The Kitstorack title says height-adjustable, but its bullets give one height, 6.69 inches with wheels, and a minimum of 6.7 inches. The adjustment range is not stated.
- The Kitstorack bullets say the bin suits under bed heights above 6.7 inches. The listing does not say how far above.
- Webetop’s 12 and 10 inch figures, which the bullets do not identify as heights or lengths.
- Budding Joy’s 80L figure in the title, which the listing does not assign to a bin or a pack.
- Budding Joy’s size of 9.45 inches appears as both a size and the lowest height setting. The listing does not say whether the size figure is at the lowest setting.
- Best Choice’s height, capacity and wheel count, none of which appears in its bullets.
- VECELO’s claim that its plastic is waterproof. The listing makes the claim without giving a basis for it.
- Budding Joy’s claim that its non-woven fabric is tear-resistant and waterproof. We did not check it.
- Eastherry’s reinforced metal frame and 400D Oxford fabric, which are the listing’s own description.
- What VECELO’s two-way opening does in use. The bullets name the feature without describing it.
- Wheel diameters for every bin. No listing gives one.
- Weight limits for the contents of any bin. No listing gives one.
FAQ
How much clearance do I need under the bed?
Measure the gap at several points, then compare it with the stated heights. Kitstorack is 6.69 inches with wheels and needs more than 6.7 inches of clearance, Eastherry is 9.5 inches, and Budding Joy adjusts from 9.45 to 11.02 inches. Three listings give no height at all. In our 10 inch example, Kitstorack, Eastherry and Budding Joy at its lowest setting fit, and Budding Joy’s top setting does not.
Are these bins strong enough for heavy bedding?
The listings make some durability claims, including Eastherry’s reinforced frame and Budding Joy’s tear-resistant fabric. None gives a weight limit for the contents, and none gives a wear figure. Check the frame and fabric claims against what you plan to store, and ask the seller for a load figure if your bedding is heavy.
How many liters do I get in a pair?
Webetop’s listing gives about 91 liters for its 12 inch bin and about 75 liters for its 10 inch bin, so the pair is about 166 liters on our planning basis. Budding Joy’s title says 80L for a 2 pack, which is either 40 liters per bin or 160 liters for the pack, depending on how the figure is read. Eastherry, Kitstorack, Best Choice and VECELO give no liter figure.
Are locking wheels worth it?
Locks help you hold a bin in place once it is where you want it, and the listings name them on Eastherry, Kitstorack, Webetop and Budding Joy. Best Choice’s bullets mention locks but give no wheel count. Lock the wheels on the side you reach from, and check that the bin still moves on the rest.
Can I stack these bins?
VECELO says its lids have grooves that match the wheels, so its bins stack. The listings for Eastherry, Kitstorack, Webetop and Budding Joy do not describe stacking, so do not assume it.
Bottom line
Measure the gap, then drop any bin whose stated height or minimum leaves too little room, and choose from the rest by what you store. If a listing gives no height, ask the seller for one before you buy.
