How we chose

The criteria are plain. Each listing had to be a shelf or rack sold for use over a washer and dryer, and each had to state at least a size and one other figure, such as a weight limit, a tier count or an anti-tip device. We kept units with different heights and mounting methods so the comparison covers the range the search returns.

The listings were read on 2026-10-28 from Amazon search results and product pages. We considered seven search results in total. Two were left out as off-topic: a magnetic washer shelf, which is not a floor or freestanding unit, and a pressure-washer wall shelf, which is a different product. The five listings kept are the ones in the comparison. We did not rank them, and the order above is the order in which they were read.

Where two figures for the same unit disagree, both are shown. We did not pick one silently.

  • Do not buy from the IDEALHOUSE overview size without checking. Its stated dimensions do not match the usual footprint, so confirm the size with the seller before you order.
